Travel Life
TripAdvisor is a great website for travelers and people that enjoy exploring their local area as well. The site allows people to review hotels, restaurants, attractions and more. I've been using this site for years. Sometimes most of the reviews are similar and people even include photos. Of course we will have different experiences and this is very normal as well.

I try to regularly post my reviews on this website as well as a few others. I make sure to check this website while planning my trips. When you click on a Business, the website will share the location, hours of operation and business type. If it's an attraction or  museum, then it will specify how much time people normally spend when they go. This information is very useful and helpful.

There's an option to save places to a list. For example, I saved a list titled Las Vegas. I included all the places that I wanted to visit including the hotels that we stayed at. When we woke up each day, I would go down our list of things to do and pick something.

**I highly recommend TripAdvisor. This is my personal review and it's not a paid Ad

We started our weekend off on Saturday by taking some Christmas pictures at JCPenny Portrait Studios. The Silverdale loction charges no sitting fee for military and they also give you three portrait sheets for free. This is an every day deal. Contact your local JCPenny Portrait Studio and ask them what military discounts do they offer.

Later that day we caught the Washington State Ferry to Seattle.

VIEW OF SEATTLE FROM THE FERRY

Then drove 30 minutes to Everett so that we could go to the Tulalip Resort. It's a nice casino. I would compare it to a Las Vegas Casino.  We had a great time there and I won some money also!
I WON $122.15!

The hotel rooms there were booked up at Tulalip Resort so we ended up staying about 6 miles away at Navy Lodge Everett.

Right next door to the Casino are the Premium Outlets. Going to Tulalip was the best of both worlds. My husband got to gamble and I got to shop till I drop! lol. We didnt get a chance to take advantage of any of the free meals for service members for Veterans Day. Tomorrow is the last day for this and my husband actually has Duty. Maybe next year he can get a free meal. For now I will just have to cook him dinner! lol
ONE OF MY FAVORITE STORES!

I hope everybody else had a great weekend!

Today my hubs was off duty around 8am. Whenever he's off work we try to find something fun to do together. We ended up going near Tacoma to Karts and Cages go karts in Point Defiance.
It's $7 per ride. If you spend more then $10 they will give you a free token for the batting cages. That's the military special. They do not offer any military discounts, just a special. We went on the go karts a few times. It was really fun. I'm use to a bigger area to ride go karts and faster cars, but that was still worth the $7. My husband hit the batting cages a few times. They have four different cages. They are slow/easy, medium, fast and real fast. My husband hasn't swung a bat in years and of course he goes into the "fast" cage. lol. He warmed up after one session and did a awesome job hitting all of the balls after that. We enjoyed ourselves today. I would definitely go back again. Here's the link for their website.
Karts and Cages

We finished our day with some shopping at the Tacoma Mall and dinner at Red Lobster. I had to take advantage of that all you can eat shrimp. I made sure to take a nice bag of left overs home also. lol
