I flew into San Diego last night around 11pm. This was after 7 hours of traveling. 4.5 of those hours were spent on a plane with one stop in Oakland but with no plane change. I fly so much you think i would be a pro at this and nothing would bother me anymore. Well it's not like that yet. I still get irritated at the idea of having to travel even though i love to go places. I can't win for loosing!

Today it was 104 degrees outside. Im glad to see sun again but i was not expecting that type of heat. It caught me off guard. Im glad i packed my shorts and tank tops. I have to prepare for California Summer weather even though it's Fall season. I will take some nice heat over cold weather but not this super hot heat. Im going to try and soak this heat up before i have to leave back for Washington on Monday. Tomorrow i plan to go to the beach and also get some shopping done. It's not a vacation if i dont shop. I will also have a lot of family that i need to visit before i leave. Today was a busy day because i tried to visit a ton of my cousins. I literally was scheduling meetings back to back with them as if it were a job. lol. I love my family!!

I finally did my first co-wash and then a wash n go. I washed my hair with Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Cream. I want to start off by saying it smelled so good! The scent alone had me hooked. After i washed my hair with the leave in conditioner i rinsed it out. Then i reapplied the conditioner to my hair in sections and finger combed it. I then applied some Eco Styler Styling Gel to my hair, and i did this in sections also.

This is the hair after i applied the products to my hair. This was also 2 hours after so it had time to dry.

Note that i used no combs or brushes to do my hair. I only used my fingers to comb thru and make sure there were no tangles.

So far the hair is in real tight curls. It shrunk a few inches as it started to dry. It took about 6 hours to fully dry, since it was air dried. The ends of my hair in the front are bone straight. I'm not sure if i still have some processed hair or not. It has been at least a year and half since i have received any perm in my hair. If anyone has an knowledge on this please let me know.

Night Time Regimen. I pulled my hair up in a pineapple. Then i put on a satin bonnet.

I will post an update tomorrow for Day two of my Co-Wash and Wash N Go.

I have been hearing a lot about co washing and I got curious and wanted to find out what it is. Its washing your hair with conditioners and no shampoo. Its for natural hair. African American women use this technique to take care of their natural unprocessed hair.

My hair is unprocessed but I do use heat on it sometimes. Not often.

When you go wash you will end up using a lot of conditioners so make sure you keep a nice supply. If you have thick hair then you will want to use a lot more conditioners when your washing it so you can make sure its saturated. I will post a video on Youtube after I do my first co wash tomorrow night!

Almost 4 years ago I was living in Las Vegas, NV. I was young but i worked a full time job and was living a carefree life. The one thing that i did remember to do was VOTE! I went to vote for Barack Obama. I like what he stood for and realized  his values were similar to most hard working individuals. He started off as a hard working man himself and so was his parents. He did not come from money. He knows what it is like to struggle and work for what you want. He has been in "our" shoes before.

Four years have passed and i still feel the same way about him. He has improved a lot of things for our communities. He has done things that create more job opportunities and he has made it possible for so many people to get health coverage that did not have any. His wife, Michelle Obama gave a speech at the Democratic National Convention. One of her quotes i found very interesting.

"He is the same man who started his career by turning down high paying jobs and instead worked in struggling neighborhoods, where a steel plant had shutdown, fighting to rebuild communities and get folks back to work. Beacause for Barack, success isn't about how much money you make. It is about the difference you make in people's lives."

I know that everybody has their own opinions on Obama and what he stands for. I just want people to do their research and make sure that you make an "educated" decision when it comes to picking a president. I say "educated" because i think that you need to make your decisions based on facts and not what you hear in the media. Do a little research and you could learn alot.

Every vote counts! With that being said, please make sure that you take time out of your busy schedules to go out and vote in November. I hear a lot of people complaining about what they don't like that's being done and what they want the "President" to do and what they do not want the President to do. Your vote is your opinion! Do not have expectations and not make sure to research who you are voting for. You can not listen to everything you hear in the media. Make sure to vote!

I found this photo comparison of Michelle Obama watching her husband give a speech, and Coretta Scott King attending her husband's funeral.
